Navigating Your Story With The Tarot Archetypes

Responding vs. Reacting - Strength

Nicole Lestrange Season 1 Episode 11

In this episode, Nicole and Rootz discuss the strength card and how her archetype plays out in our journey here on earth. They share personal stories of times in their lives when they quickly wanted to react to upsetting situations and how much better it was to pause and respond.

They touch upon the topic of Roe v. Wade and how the strength card is the perfect medicine for anyone needing support right now.

They acknowledge and understand that this is a sensitive topic and honor that everyone has their own beliefs and rights to create the life and world they wish to live in.

Hi. And welcome back to navigating your story. With the taro archetypes. In this episode, roots and I discussed strength. And the archetype of responding versus reacting. For anyone new to taro. Strength is the eighth card. And it comes after the chariot in the major Kona. Roots and I discuss the true meaning of strengths. Not what society has deemed it to be for so long. We share personal stories. Of times in our lives, when we quickly wanted to react to an upsetting situation. And how much better it was to pause. And respond. We touch upon the topic of Rhode vs. Wade. And how the strength card is the perfect medicine for anyone needing support right now. We understand that this is a sensitive topic and we honor. That everyone has their own beliefs and rights to create this life. And the world that they wish to live in. I hope you find comfort in our personal stories. Of experiencing the strength archetype. So pour yourself a cup of tea. Or a glass of wine as you join us for our discussion. Hello. How are you? Oh, blissful blessful. It's been a beautiful day. I know you had a busy day. Yeah. I'm really glad that we're here talking about this strength, energy, because it takes a lot of strength to work through. The stuff that life presents you. What we're gonna talk about with strength is gonna be so different than what people think is strength as like our body strength. For me, it's been a mental strength being able to work with my inner dragon, although in the card you see a lion, but it, so in reference to our animalistic side. I'm really excited to work with that today. I know I'm so excited too. It's interesting, when we're choosing to do a card, how energies in the collective or energies in our own life, really mirror that card. In this episode part of the strength that I also wanna cover is how do we have strength when we're going through challenges? For instance, the Roe versus Wade, how would we use the strength card, which is really the perfect card for every individual who is feeling very impacted by this emotionally, physically, mentally, the strength card's an amazing medicine to help you navigate it. And so it's really interesting that that card showed up and then we have this whole thing happening in our collective. But roots and I have always noticed that when we do a card, that energy really is there for everyone who joins and really for the collective as well. So roots, let's slow with how feel about the strength card, cuz people have different relationship with them, but I know when you and I were talking about this, we have somewhat of a similar relationship with this card and a similar story. So do you wanna start off with what strength is for you? So I've been integrating all the different aspects of strength this last week. And the biggest part that has really resonated with me is being able to be with our more animalistic energies to be able to be with our deeper emotions in such a way that they are heard, honored and understood without them fully running the show. When you recognize that you're really frustrated or mad about something don't. React instead, take that moment to breathe, to respond an interpretation that came from the mystic dreamer discussed, taking a moment to know yourself and who you are then being in the face of whatever is in your path. You are taking the time to act, to move from how you are rather than firing back off, because somebody fired at you. It takes true strength to in the face of an onslaught, be able to still be your defined vessel. That's what strength card means to me. yeah. how about you? It's very similar. Cause I know when we got together, we did talk about respond versus react and the strength card and the weight writer, Smith illustration has a woman and she's, leaning over a lion I believe she's touching the lion's, mouth. And what's really important about that key detail is that the woman is not using any force and the lion is happily working with her. We all know lions in the wild, right. Lions, they don't wanna be tamed. You would not tame a lion S you would not tame a lion. They're not meant to be tamed. When it comes to the strength card is it's not about taming someone else to do what you want them to do, because that is one really bad for karma. Okay. But two that actually isn't strength. I would say that's more weakness because I think when we try to control someone to follow us or to be like us, it's definitely on the lines of manipulating. But we're doing it from an insecure place, because if we need to use force, then that means that if you do the self-reflection piece, you really don't believe in yourself where a strength is. I am so confident in who I am and what I bring and my beliefs or my values that I don't need to force anyone to follow me or to work with me. By me, modeling my path and staying true to myself, people who I speak to will happily come and join me. And the joining in that picture is the lion who is very untamed and still is untamed in that photo. It just. Enjoys the energy of that woman and wants to join her. I think that's a piece to strength it's something that when we look back in history, how people and positions, with power use strength, they really used it from the weakness perspective. And I think the true strength really is this card. Strength is also about knowing your internal nature to be able to recognize when you get triggered by things and to be able to express yourself in a loving kind, compassionate way, or however you wanna be. We have to kind of team ourselves when it comes to, handling something with strength and grace. Because sometimes I do think in certain situations and we'll get into road versus Wade our initial reaction, and here we go, it's not, you never hear someone go, oh, in our initial response, that's not a phrase I've never heard of in our initial response. It's always in my initial reaction because I believe our reaction comes from. Survival. It comes from our ego, cuz our ego at the end of the day just wants to survive and it wants to protect. When something is bothering us, our initial reactions are ego trying to protect us and trying to, keep us safe and survive. For instance, with road versus Wade that hit not even just women, I mean that hit the LGBTQ, plus community. It hit anyone. Who's been a press and I believe for everyone who just saw that on the news last week, we probably all right away. Our ego flared and was like, how do we survive? How do I survive? And so our initial reaction for me was like, I wanna write something on Instagram. I wanna like say this and we can talk about, I didn't really do too well with that and pausing and responding, but that was my ego going. Our first instinct is the ego. And if we take time to pause and respond, I think that's our Ascension being the soul part of ourself, the wisdom part of ourself. When we take time to process and then respond, we're allowing the ego to just one be nurtured. And then two, we allow the ego to join in with our soul and our mind to have a graceful response. Oh my God. Yes. Yes. Like you, a lot of people got really upset. I mean, not saying that you got upset, but that there was, they immediately responded right. They immediately responded really heavily online. I just saw all my friends getting upset and riled up by yet another thing. It certainly is interesting when big things like this happen, because there's always the quote that comes up from the Holocaust. Where it talks about how first they took away this group of people. And I didn't say anything cuz I'm not that person and then they took this group of people, but I didn't say anything because I'm not those people and it just keeps going down the line until finally they came for me. Nobody was there to stand up for me. yeah. So it's now spiraling that type of conversation. And then interestingly, on the other side, I've been seeing a lot of men go and get their vasectomies now oh my God. I know I've seen like four or five men now get vasectomies in the last week. And I'm like, is it that easy to go get a vasectomy? Cause I thought they were$750, but y'all are just bawling. Like apparently I know there's literally not anymore. There's been some really funny memes coming out and obviously we just wanna respect everyone who's listening to this podcast. We're just, we know that this is a really, really sensitive topic and we're trying to lightly touch on it. We are not fully going in on it. And so we just wanna respect everyone's views because you have a view on this and if it's different, we respect that, you know, we're all here to really just create our own worlds in this lifetime So just wanna put that out there, but, there have been some funny memes going around roots about, if you can tell a woman what to do with her body or then maybe we should, have the minute a man's balls drop and they enter puberty. They have to get, an emergency bicep. And obviously that's not the answer, but it was just some light humor in, in amongst this craziness. So Ruth, I wanna look up that thing is it called the Holocaust I don't remember anything about it. I just know that I've seen it from like three different people posting about it. I can't remember anything beyond that because okay. I have it there's so much. Oh, see. Perfect. I have it. Okay. I think I have it. Do you want me to read it? So it goes first, they came for the socialist and I did not speak out because I am not a socialist. Then they came for the trade unionist and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist. Then they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me. And I think that quote is powerful aside just from the strength card. This past three years I've been talking to people and they're like, I'm just not even surprised anymore There's been such fast momentum of what I believe is the shadow part of our collective. That's always been in the shadow and from like a bird's eye view, I think what's happening is we're bringing the shadow into the light. it's always been there. We just haven't recognized it. I mean, black lives matter LGBTQ rights. For goodness sake, we have a war going on right now and it's just like, oh my God, pandemic women's rights. And to add to that the United States is going through its Pluto return. Right. Oh, so are you hitting me? No, this is like a big 270 year thing cycle that's happening right now. So this is part of the stuff that a lot of people aren't really present to because there's so many things to pay attention to, but there's so many things. Yeah. Literally the United States is going through a huge pivotal thing and I'm not an astrologer. Pluto is the planet of death and rebirth. I'd say that is like the death card. If you were to pull it in taro. And I would say to get death and rebirth, it's not that easy. I mean, we've all gone it through it in life. Like I've had now in my life, probably like four death and rebirths The tower card shows up and your tower that you had built, there are things that don't serve you anymore. So what happens. Things fall apart to be completely honest, the tower that you built, the foundation is not sturdy anymore. Cause there it doesn't fit who you are now and who you're becoming. So the tower will fall. And then what happens is you go through this transformation, which is death in rebirth. There's parts of us that die. And it's good that it dies because then we're able to be born into a better version of ourselves for where we're more aligned with. So, if America is going through its Pluto return, a lot of the stuff is making sense when it comes to all this shadow stuff that has been there forever, like it's all been there. We just, we weren't talking about it and we didn't wanna admit it was still there. And I think that's probably why if we're going through this big death and rebirth yeah. That's probably why it feels like the 1950s right now. And it feels like there's all this stuff going down. So do you wanna add to that roots? Yeah. I mean, and it's, this perfect opportune moment for things to be coming up. A lot of people are starting to see, Hey, this doesn't actually make sense. This doesn't make sense. That doesn't make sense. And it's like, okay, if that's not making sense, remember in the constitution itself, it flat out says that if we, the people no longer believe that this is what needs to be happening, that we are empowered to. fight against that to create what the next thing is. All of these different rights that we've gotten to like, the LGBTQ, the black rights, the women's rights all happened as a result of people rallying and fighting against the system. But here's the reason why this is all tied into the strength. Because if everybody was just outrage and full on anger, nothing would happen. But instead they calibrated, they connected, they created focused rallies to make this thing happen. And they got everyone who is on the same wavelength let's get together, let's make this ish happen. You brought up the 1950s and it's true. Cuz if you look at our Senate, and our Congress, they're mostly older generational people and that's not to say that they don't have their validity there, but there is something to be said that if we're not hiring people who are in their seventies to work basic jobs, why are we having them run our country? I know, I know. Maybe that will be the change that is made cuz remember Pluto return is all about that transformation and we've all been on a wild ride in this world. I mean, beside America going through its Pluto return, you know, it's been a wild ride. Okay. When we look back in history and all the stuff that has happened in these past three or four years. Holy holy shit. Okay. It is emotionally draining, emotionally exhausting, but I mean, I gotta say we've got some strong souls and people in this world. I think we have a lot of old souls who have come and incarnated to be here during this time, because I truly believe we're shifting things to finally, raise us to another type of energy and dimension on this earth. For all of us who are here, if sometimes you feel really defeated cuz I do like, I ha I was on the phone call with my friends and I'm like, man, like, you know, I have hope. And then, and this I'm still in reaction mode by the way. So I'm trying to tie this all back to strength, cuz it is all about strength. Like it's okay. Your first initial thing would be reaction by the way. And that is perfectly fine for us to have. It's just in that reaction mode, who do you speak to, you know, who do you pull in? Who do you meditate? how do you handle it in a healthy way when you're in reaction mode? And so I would call my friends and we would say to one another, like, man, like I'm, I'm losing hope. Like I'm feeling defeated, but you know what? We all bounced back three days later and we all did our response posts on Instagram and we all are feeling stronger than ever. For everyone, who's feeling defeated out there. And if you're listening to this podcast, I gotta tell you your soul is ready for this. And I'm going to say, I think your soul is an old soul, because I think a lot of old souls came down to make this change happen. That's just my view. I mean, it, it is. I mean, that's, I don't think that's just a, your view. I think that's like what we've created. I've heard. Yeah. I've heard a lot of people talk about that. Yeah, I mean, and it's funny, cuz like I'm at a perspective and like, am I an old soul? Am I a brand new soul? Because just some weird astrology stuff that I've been digging myself into where like Leo and I think it was cancer were like the newest babies. And then yeah, it was really weird. I was like, wait, what? I'm a baby. I'm like, I do definitely do not feel like a baby. I feel like I came fully encoded with TA and that that's more than one lifetime full of knowledge. You know? I know, I know. You know, I, when I just a sign note, when I pulled a card on you in high roots, I have like an Oracle deck that I use for readings. You and I both got old soul when I was like, oh, tell me about roots. Like I'm doing this podcast with him. And the card I got for us is old soul, so, oh yeah. So we might actually be older souls now. Are we old, old souls? You know, maybe not, but we're probably in like the ninth grade that's learning to do. Well, and I think that's honestly like why we came together. Like we came together and for those of y'all who don't know us, cuz many of y'all don't that's fine. we literally, uh, got linked up through Tara and T and then we started to make this podcast because we both wanted to. Right. We'd kind like just came together and it's worked and now we've been working together for a year. Okay. Like yeah, it's been a ride. So when we tell you that we're recognizing a pattern of every two weeks as we do this podcast or sometimes three weeks and sometimes four weeks, right. We've noticed this pattern that right now, the last two weeks we've had to really been working on our strength and recognizing like all these big things coming up and how we've been with. One before that was the chariot. And I think that one took three weeks or was that four weeks for that one? yeah. Oh my God. That one took a while. I just wanna acknowledge cuz we have a few things going on in the chat. Kinden said that, they are an old soul and they're Leo as well, roots. And then Shannon is an old soul too. Anna, a star seed, and Shannon, I definitely can relate to you in the star seed thing. Maybe we'll do a room one day on that at roots, cuz it's some weird stuff has come through with me on that as well. Okay. I can help hold the container for the star seed thing. I hear them. I talk to them, but like they flat out told me it's like, it's totally unimportant for you to know where you came from as far as being a star seed. Yeah. Cause it was like, cause a lot of that, it's amazing. It's containing, they've said that to me, they're like so many people are on this planet right now are focusing on being a star seed cuz they're trying to return home, but it's like, we came here to this earth. We are here to seed the next experience of humanity. Right. Us even having this conversation, we are bridging the gap for the next generation to be that much stronger, to be able to recognize the signs from the other side. Knew what's funny roots. I've gotten the same guidance because our brains can only understand so much. Oh my God. You know, I've. Oh, yeah. Tell me about and through the two of ones and the wheel fortune, like that's literally what happened. It's like focus on what you're actually passionate about and let the world do the rest. Yeah. You're focusing on what you're wanting to create. That's what's gonna be focused on and that's so we gotta focus on this earth and making our lives in this now. Great. yeah. Versus wearing a go ahead. We'll fulfill our purpose and Shannon, there's this star seed book that I will put in the chat once we're done talking by Rebecca Campbell. You'll love it. It's really helped me navigate that as well. Is that letters to the star seats? Yes. It's letters to the star seeds. For those, you read that book too. I've read it to the point where I was. So for me, this person, I was annoyed with it and I had to pass it on because I tried to read it and I tried to read and I always do BI man, and it always spoke directly to where I was at. Mm-hmm And then I was like, and I'm done with this for right now. that's a, that's happened to me with a few books too. It's it's what resonates with you and stuff. Oh, but that resonated with me. So Shannon, maybe read the back of it. See if you vibe it, pull a card. But like Ruth said, it's, it's hit or miss for some people. I honestly also think that it's just because I have information overload. I have so many decks, so many books that I'm like, I need to read this and then I start to read it and then I'm just like dipping off to the next thing. I'm fire. I'm like all fire, you know, this, you saw my chart. Like my passion for something is like, let's be excited about it. And then I'm done with it. And, and so that yeah, it's like the fire is ignited and then the fire went out. it's like, get an Aquarius. If you want somebody to read a book, go, go ask an Aquarius. It's they will read it. They'll finish it. They will. Okay. so I like how we're tying the whole road versus weighting. And we were talking about our initial response was like reaction, right. So roots. Did you notice you were in reaction mode when you first heard about it? Cuz you said you responded, later to it when you were ready to respond instead of reacting. So what did you do or what, what felt right for you in that? Or if you don't even wanna talk road versus weight too, you can even talk about like what feels right for you when you know, you're in reaction mode to. Calm it down and pause so I can do that part. Right. when I messaged you earlier, I recognized that I was, being riled up by somebody's energy. And I was like, well, that's not serving me right now. That's not gonna serve this call. So I was like, who am I generating myself as? When I talk about being strength, what I'm really saying is becoming and recognizing who you already are and who you want to be. I wanna be a champion for quality information that other people are gonna be able to have a better access to their life. Somebody was blasting off at me being really frustrated energy. And I was like, okay, I get that. You are frustrated. But that doesn't mean that I need to be frustrated. And their frustration didn't have to bring me down. So I recognize, oh, I'm starting to get agitated because this person's agitated. With the Roe versus Wade I sat in my stillness and watched people blasting off being frustrated about it. I watched people being excited and happy that, you know, their side of the story was working there's people who were really big into not wanting babies, removed from the earth. And there's other people who were the other side of it. I'm not getting into the politics of it. It's just a matter of seeing both sides. So what ended up happening for me is that after it happened, there was one particular thing that I really resonated with. And that was, this, the poem that talks about the, the witches. I'm pulling it up now. So I can share that if you'd like, yeah, of course the witches and I mean, the women that were burned, midwives, abortionists, death, and life doulas, herbalist practitioners, it wasn't somebody with a crooked hat and caldron. It was somebody with power and knowledge that scared those men. It was the sages and the healers, prophets and Sears, spiritual teachers, witch doctors, Prees women who honored life and death, women who worked together to make decisions against the abomination of men and women who honored the earth and spirits. You have so much power that it terrifies them. You have so much power that they try to replicate it and they strip it from you. They made us stop our blood from flowing back into the soil and they made us carry their children to keep up their bloodlines. But it isn't their bloodlines that carry. We are the link between the spirit world and this one, we are divine portals and we are divine temples, and we are the direct link to mother to goddess and that terrifies weak men. And we will see our allies in men, the ones who have connected with, and honor the divine feminine and walk in their divine masculinity. And that's by Ray generation. That is beautiful. When I saw you post that, I was like, Ugh. In that one poem is strength. It just felt like strength, I guess for me it feels like someone took their pain and they channeled it into something creative, like writing that, they took their heart, they took their pain and then they transformed it into this really beautiful passage that they created, like the lion in that picture, you then came and said, whoa, that this is speaking to me and then you passed it on. That is true to what strength was. And so for you roots, you said, you paused, you saw this, you saw people reacting on both sides and then. You said you were looking for something that resonated with you and is that when you came across this, this passage? Right? Right. Because I was like, I'm not going to act in the same way that everyone else is. I want to empower the divine mother, I want to empower my sisters who may feel as if their voice isn't worthwhile. Treated and cause they literally just got their rights to their bodily autonomy taken away. Again. I know in another way that they had just been given it. Yeah. And, and you know, there's. Go back a long time. There's all these women who have the herbalist and the abilities to, end life in that way. Just says there's ways to strengthen the ability to give life through yeah. Different herbs and, and medicine of that sort. And even some of that is like denied or considered taboo. I know. Um, you know, what's so amazing about the female body, is that our womb every month creates and destroys, regardless of, we're not even getting into like abortions or any of that, we create an egg and then we get, our periods and it's destroyed? Then if you actually do get pregnant, you're creating life and we can hold life and we can birth life. I mean, that's, it's crazier. Yeah. What is it? The eggs that are inside of you were inside your grandmother, right? Oh yeah. Yeah. So that's the lineage. That's the energy as women, that you're carriers of you are like, when we talk about lineage, the only real lineage we should ever be focused on is the match lineage, right? Yeah. That's, that's part of the taking the power away from women that has been so weirdly denied. It's like, the only being that can ever really know who is having the baby. It's the mother, we know that who the mom is, we don't know who the man is. I know sometimes yes it's and it's like, Ugh. I know. And I, that's my weird champion. That's okay. And back to your passage though, I think what really spoke to me and I've kind of been thinking this too, I'm a woman in this lifetime and I'm like, what is it about women? I know we oppress races and religions and you know, there's a whole line of it, but I'm like, what is it about women? Why has it always been that way? And your passage really spoke to me in this moment and I'm sure I'll be growing more and my mind can evolve and change. But in this moment that passage spoke to me on we're so powerful, you know, and I, what do we do? And it's the opposite of strength? What do we do when we fear power? We oppress it because we know. Their true potential and strength and, even our bodies and everything. And I just, there's a reason they're oppressing us. And I think it's because truly we're, we're pretty powerful beings. Um, and everyone is equally I'm not in a place of matriarchy takes over the world. I think it's a balance and it's everyone coming together. But I wonder if that's why in history we've always been, oppressed and put down, but, if you really get to it, divine, feminine often is listening to spirit is listening to great spirit. because they have this moment of time, traditionally there would be the red tent where you would sit and for three days or four days, the only thing you'd be doing is listening to your body, honoring the temple that you are as a divine portal, fun run realm to the next. Yeah. Right. There's a type of medicine that men can never touch men. We have access to the physical world and yes, we can access the spirit side when we are truly activating in our divine feminine. But those already born into feminine flesh. You're it's like an innate, it's like an innate, a muscle. Yeah. Yeah. It's like a muscle. I totally get what you're saying. I think men have to really work at that muscle. Whereas for us a muscle that's already kind of attached and used type of thing. And then if it's beaten out of you and told that's not true, that's not, what's real. I know then it's like, then you're already confronting and having to fight against your own innate itself. And so you don't have energy to fight against anything else. When you're told who you are, your entire life is wrong. It's such a fascinating, disgusting story, but that's disgusting. That's fascinating. I'm with you. It's fascinating. I'm like the twisted aspect of this. I'm like we're denying women who they are denying access to their body autonomy. Yeah. And at the same time, if we go back to the strength card, We're literally denying that intuitive, energetic wisdom of who they are, of who we all are. Cuz we all have access to listening to our body, to defined spirit enough, to be calm in the lion's den. Right. I don't remember the exact quote, but it's something like fear not of walking into the lion then for, I know that I am of them. Yes. Which is a beautiful quote because we all are one. Can I share my journey with road versus wage? Cause then I'm just gonna share when I was actually reached the responding part. Okay. I wrote a really beautiful, poem, I wanna say, but I'm probably gonna say passage cuz it doesn't rhyme, but I just tell people I'm like, oh I wrote a poem and I probably should say I wrote a passage but anyways, when I first heard about, road versus Wade, I was in reaction mode and right away I did an Instagram post and looking back, it actually, wasn't too bad I'm gonna take us away from road versus Wade for a minute. But anyone ever had, those nights I did when I was in my twenties and I'm missing an ex and it's really late at night and I send the text message cuz I'm in the reaction of the emotions of feeling lonely. I just wanna say maybe you can relate that's totally reaction mode where the next day you. Let me reread that. Oh crap. I shouldn't have said that. Well, I did do an Instagram post in reaction mode and, I did read it the next day and I was like, okay, I'm still okay with that. but I did post out of reaction and I noticed it and I was like, oh my God. So then what I did is I called my friends, my girlfriends, it was really interesting. I wanna say I cried, but I didn't cry only because I feel like in this world recently, I'm a little bit, not surprised by any of this, but I remember being on the phone with my friends it almost felt like we were drunk talking and we weren't, but it was. We didn't even have words. And we would just keep saying, oh my God, I'm just like hurting. And then I'd be like, yeah, I'm just hurting. And that was the conversation that we needed to have. There was no like right now on this podcast, I feel like you and I are like sharing some wisdom and we're sharing, our plan of action. No, it was like, I'm just hurting. And then they were like, yeah, I'm hurting too. And we're like, wow, this is just really, really painful. But it was exactly what I needed cuz I was still in reaction mode. And then, a few days later I was thinking about it and anyone who follow me on Instagram, I do write these passages when I get inspired. And sometimes they come every six months. Sometimes they come once a week. It's only when I'm inspired. I was sitting with my friend and we had a conversation. I started thinking about the red tent and I texted her back and said, I just wish everyone could just go into a red tent right now. We could all just heal. And then I called her and I was like, Hey, do you know about the red tent? She's like, no, what is the red tent? I'm like, oh, it's this thing that women used to go to back in the day when they had the periods. And it was this healing space where people gathered, and shared wisdom and healed together. So I wrote something based off that. This is what I wrote when I was in a place of responding and it was called, I wish I wish there was a red tent that was big enough for all women of any age to gather. And here. I wish there was a red tent that was big enough for young girls to join us so that we could hold and comfort them about their futures. I wish there was a red tent, big enough to allow all men who have been bullied for not fitting into patriarchy's tiny box, feeling isolated and alone to join us for you are never the problem, but the solution, I wish there was a red tent, big enough for all races who have been persecuted, judged, and belittled for the color of their skin to join us for me, no oppression to. I wish there was a red tent, big enough for all forms of love, to enter and join us for. We welcome your soul connection. Your fight for a separation of church and state is our fight too. I wish there was a red tent, big enough for all body types of many different shapes and sizes to join us for. We will celebrate your beauty and see the body as sacred in which the individual governs their own landscape free to choose. I wish this red tent existed. I wish we could all go there and feel accepted. I wish this red tent will one day be big enough for this world until then. The red tent will stay within my heart, accepting all who need to enter. And ladies and gentlemen, that was what I wrote when I finally got to a place of response when I pause and I processed and then my creative juices were ready to go. Wow. That, yeah, that was beautiful, Nicole thank you. You know, what I immediately got to that was, native Americans do the sweat lodge. My spirit guide is the native American was just immediately singing. It's like it's time for rebirthing. It's time for rebirthing. The song that was actually coming through was the happy birthday song. Men and women traditionally are accepted inside the sweat lodge with exception of when the women are in, on their moon time. And then there's a moon lodge that is created for that woman. To be able to sit with the other women. Yeah. It's something we've been missing that as a tribe. Right? What is tribe, if we're always. And most women never experience other women during their moon time, except for in quick SNPs and the division of this world, like traditionally, we used to do our crafts together. Yeah. And now we've got these cubicle office jobs. I know we're so separate. I'm like what? This is weird. Okay. I'm totally with you. You know, it's interesting. I knew it was kind of kind of head here and when I do this room with you, I always surrender. I always tell my guys, like I just surrender to what needs to be talked about for the highest good of everyone. And I knew we need to talk about this. It's so interesting how it's been synchronistic that you and I were on the strength card and this stuff just popped up, but now knowing that America's in as Pluto return, it is a time of transformation. Maybe that's comforting for everyone who doesn't know where it's going and we're scared. Just remember, it's in his Pluto return and maybe we say this metaphorically. What doesn't serve us anymore, needs to die away, changes need to be made. So that new rebirths can be done. Strength is all about pausing and responding and let the ego do its reaction mode. Like you don't have to tame the ego in the reaction state. No. You just have to remove yourself from sending the text or telling someone, what's up in your reaction mode. It's about letting your ego do its thing. Your ego is scared. Your ego wants to just protect you and survive. So do some self care alone and then pause and then you'll get to a place where you're ready to respond with grace. And just because we talked about self-care, let's give a little bit of a demonstration. Yeah. So can look like meditation. It can look like writing in your book. It can look like journaling. This is. Wow. Manures and pedicures might be seen as a great self care. It's a part, but it's not like you can't just go get a Manny petty every week and be like, oh yeah, I do my self care. It's like, because I'm reacting, we're reacting every day. By the way, every day, we have a moment of reacting and you can't get a man and petty every day. And, and some people, and this is why there's, the addictions that the world has because instead of truly doing the self care, the self work, they instead go and they light up a cigarette or they smoke some weed or they do another substance to escape or to go into a different dimension versus then right here. That's something that I've learned in my sobriety is that I've had to start to be with myself when I get into reactionary mode. I'm like, oh my God, I really wish I had a cigarette right now. Wait, why do I wish I had a cigarette? What am I working on avoiding right now? What's there for me. Being able to shift into that awareness has been life changing. Just to add to what you just said right there is we do try to numb and distract ourselves or escape from the reaction mode because it can be. Painful. It can be painful and it can be uncomfortable and it can be scary back to your ego. They just wanna survive. It makes sense why people have tried to escape from it because it's really just plain uncomfortable, but it's back to what you said, roots. It's so important to be with it because then you are nurturing that ego's part of you and you are gaining acceptance. It's strength to then respond and create your life. But I think I would ask this roots. Cause I think you probably have more experience with the whole escapism with, substances. Cause I know you've talked about that and you've been on a year of sobriety, which has been amazing. Do you feel when you use substances all the time to just distract or escape your reactions to things, because obviously the reason we're reacting is cause we're afraid and we're feeling pain or someone hurt a wound of our, do you feel like when you quickly go to the substance to distract you and escape that it keeps you in the reaction mode of things? Cause you didn't properly heal from it. Yeah. Yeah. It doesn't bring you to responding. So, basically, it's kind of like shoving the genie back inside the bottle without letting the genie actually heal first. Right. Yeah. So then the problem or the challenge is still right there, waiting for the next time when it comes back up and then it's just as strong and then it's that lion ready to scratch and rip out of you because you've been denying me for so long. I don't wanna be a preacher being like, oh my God, everybody should be sober because there are great things that happen when you are intentional with your medicine. But it's like if the intention is to get lifted gifted higher than the ceiling, how is that serving? If your intention is to connect with your divine self and your source space consciousness, like that's a different frequency than, oh my God, Susie just made me mad and now I'm gonna go smoke a cigarette and I'm gonna pray with tobacco ceremonially, tra tobacco is used for calling forth for the great spirit. So if you're frustrated and smoking a cigarette, you are then pumping that into the air, into the atmosphere. Yeah. Right. Different ways to use tobacco might include honoring it. Then just taking a moment for gratitude mm-hmm and giving it up to spirit and surrendering it. I'm like on a native American kick, like something happened, you really are. I love it though. I love the way they do things and the way they still probably do things. Their walk of life is really inspirational. So I love your native American kick right now. Yeah. You gave some selfcare for when we're in reaction mode, a big piece of that is surrendering as well. What is in my control and what's not in my control and oh yeah. Ooh, that something that we talked about in landmark Do you have any direct impact on Roe versus Wade right now? No, so putting out your pros, your love, your medicine, mm-hmm that put a different ripple into the atmosphere versus say, somebody who's like, oh my God, here's my opinion. They just fight and they bicker and they fight. Instead you created this beautiful space of healing. May we all have space in the red tent so that we can do that inner healing and really reconnect with who we are, how much more magical is that as an experience to bring to the world? Oh my God. So much more magical. We all have a version of ourselves that we wanna be, and we can live up to that person that we wanna be. I wanna have more grace. And hold myself and respond like that's who I aim to be. But. When we allow ourselves to pause and respond, we give ourselves that opportunity to respond to the person we wanna be. And you mentioned that earlier roots, and I should have written it down because I was like, oh, I wanna go back to that. You said when we pause and respond, which is the strength card mm-hmm we allow ourselves to respond to the person we wanna be because we do. And as the person we be as the person, thank you. As the person we wanna be. Yeah. I just wanna point out, cause we've been looking at the chat. Shannon put healing for me is an ongoing process and it is. Well, I don't think I ever will reach completion and healing every day brings a new reaction and every day takes practice, you know, so yeah. This is coming through really strong right now. We are never gonna be done. That's but there's this other fraction that's like, we are already whole healthy and complete from our head to our feet and we know no defeat. We are, in fact magnifi perfectly and perfect in every single way. Do not dismiss your glory. Be to this day, know that there is the light that within you and the light that is without, but have no doubt what you're about. And in that space offer love and gratitude for every lesson that comes full force to your face. I love that. And just for our audience, cuz I remember when I met you, you would say these little riles and I'd be like, where are they coming from? But you said that's you channeling, right? Yeah. That's just straight channel. Yeah. It was just loud. It was like loud, loud, blah. Wow. Loud. That was really cool. And that's a fun little tick. Yeah, because the original, one of the, the happy birthday song, I was like, no, that's, that's this isn't the space for it. It's nobody's birthday right now. And they're like, but it's still something needs to come through. Something needs to come through. And they're like, okay, well here let's just shine. Well, tell them, thank you for that lovely, message for us in this room right now. Let's recap self care when you're in reaction mode, Like what you said, surrender. Taking the moment to pause, taking the moment to really listen for the applause. Allow for yourself to be present as to how you are now fixing to be in this resonancy of possibility. You can be anything you truly desire to now see. So allow for yourself to, instead of reacting to someone else's storm, to recognize yourself as a force of nature. And in that space, give yourself the grace to love all who come full force into your face for, they are simply reacting in a way that is in their alignment, but that doesn't have to be you. You get to honor your own sacred hue, so serve yourself kind and lightly and allow for yourself to be in full frequency of who you desire for yourself to now be bless it. Be in all the strength of possibility. Okay. As beautiful. Thanks again. That was really great wisdom for us to hear in this room and for people who will listen to this one day, in our podcast. I hope this was a healing room for everyone. I even said to roots, we were gonna do this room, on Monday and we both texted each other and was like, are you feeling like doing the room? And I just said, I'm still processing road versus Wade. I'm not there yet. I think we need to go to your own timeline. You might not be ready to even discuss this. Yes. Cause I think there's a thing that happens sometimes when big things come up, like a war is going on or like this whole, you know, America and all the crazy stuff happening here. I think people feel like if you're not posting right away, that you're not being proactive, but actually you pausing and responding when you are ready is way more proactive. If we haven't got that point across in this episode is that by pausing. until you're ready to respond and then responding with your grace is way more pro proactive than reacting. And so sometimes I know that that happens for me where I'm like, oh my God, I need to do something. I need to say something, but I'm not there yet. So I'll just react and that's not a good place to do it. If you ever feel that pressure, cuz sometimes I do feel the pressure just still beat to your own drum. If you're not even ready to respond to this for another few months, then that's great because you're responding and responding is going to make a change in this world. Not reacting. Okay. Roots is there any last minute stuff you wanna say? Are you feeling good? I'm so excited. Yeah. That strength. I feel complete with it right now for the lessons that I've learned of what strength is, you know? Yeah. I'm feeling good too. And you know, every time I leave this room, I do cuz we're always learning and growing and I always leave the room with a new relationship to the card. So I just wanna put out there, if anyone has a te deck, take that card out, look at it and see if, what, anything we talked about resonates for you for when you pull that card one day and you can go, wow. I know exactly what's going on. You know, I'm 20 years into evolving with this card and I'm still learning every single day with them, so yeah. Yeah. Okay, thank you so much. Thank you. Thank you. Maybe we all go do some self care during this time and pause until we're ready to respond. So blessings to you all. Bye bye. Thank you for listening to our episode. We hope that it was healing in pro. You and understanding. Of the strength archetype in taro. Here are some takeaway questions. To ask yourself. So you can relate this to your personal story.
