Navigating Your Story With The Tarot Archetypes
Completion- The World
In this episode, Nicole and Rootz discuss The World Card and how that archetype plays out in our journey here on earth. They share personal stories and strategies that worked for them when experiencing a completion of a cycle in life.
Hi, welcome back to navigating your story with the taro archetypes in this episode, roots, and I will be discussing the world card and the archetype of completion for any of you that are new to taro. The world card is the last card of the major Arcana. It is the completion of cycle that began with the. What I found after listening to our discussion is that when we reached completion, we tend to reflect and look back at the journey. It took us to get here. And of course there's always some type of celebration. I hope you find comfort in our personal stories of experiencing the world. So pour yourself a cup of tea or a glass of wine as you enjoy our discussion. Are you ready to talk about the world card roots? Oh my gosh. I'm so here for it. Before we begin I follow routes on Instagram. What's your Instagram, is it roots and flux? It is everything is where it's in blocked. Yeah. Yeah. I saw someone posed a video of you over the weekend at eight moon gathering, doing fire twirling, Baton. That just scream to me like world, you know, going into the essence of the world card, I felt really inspired because that was the first time that and I want to have it, but I'm actually the one who was hosting that particular gathering. And it was like the month before, there was one person who showed up and then this one, as we're in this world, energy, we literally got to have everyone. So back when there was only one person, we were in the moon and now into the world, and then it's a whole different energy. It was just really fascinating. We noticed as we did a card, the energy would that follow us that week. So what roots was talking about is when we did the moon card, when we were on that card, you had like one person show up. Cause the moon, you know, it comes with uncertainty type of energy. It's so funny that you're on the world card and a bunch of people just showed up to your moon gathering like that. That's just hilarious and amazing. Yeah, absolutely. So how's week been with them with the world card. Cause he got to get a snapshot into my world. How was your week? Very good. Actually, you know, we started kind of doing this and for anyone listening right when we moved from the judgment card last week to the world's card, I got inspired to put us in a podcast. I feel like the world followed us a little bit because the world card means completion to a cycle. For you and I roots on our journey running this room I think trying to make a podcast was a little bit world energy. It was this completion to where we began. I do have another story to share later on. Cause I was really thinking I'm like, what is a personal story? I want to share with the world card, but we won't get into that yet. Let's talk a little bit about the energy of the world. For me the world card, really signifies a journey, but a journey where you had to go through some stuff to get to this completion and celebration. When you're working through the major Arcana there's little celebratory cards, you know, when you get to the sun card, you're like, yay, everything's going great. I'm so happy little bit of a celebration, but I wanna acknowledge, the world card, doesn't just like, oh, I'm starting this journey. And I get to the world. No, you had to go through the hero's journey where there was some doubt, there was challenges. There were releasing what does not serve you? And there was finding yourself again, rebuilding. Just to playfully piggyback, right? There's 78 cards in a traditional taro deck. I've done a lot of readings for 20 years. I might've done one or 5,000, you know? I can honestly attest that it is one of the rare cards or even need a draw. Sometimes I will do two or three readings a day. And I can't think of any time during this last week that I. When this card comes up, it really is a signifier of, okay, you have literally worked and done something, take a moment to really appreciate all that you've gone through and are going to continue to go through. There's the hero's journey of starting a business, the hero's journey about becoming a parent, the hero's journey of starting a new career. It's a matter of truly taking the time to honor all of the steps that you took and. Going There is no ending in taro. There is only the continual process of the evolution of self and that it comes at the very end of the spiritual development. Now you get to go back out into the world in the physical plane and really experience yourself beautifully Raleigh and newly as we journey back into the pool And then the magician and so on. I am so excited about this practical application of this car, because we started doing a year, we've got Chinese new year coming up. There's all this renewal energy, right. As we're completing one path we're literally beginning again, as, as other systems are also saying, okay, it's time to go again. It's time to start over. It's like, okay, we're on time. That's so important with the world it's a journey to get there. There's definitely challenges and once you leave the world, it's a new beginning. With every ending. There's a new beginning and life works in cycles. As we go in our journey in life, it's not linear, there's always the cycle. When we get to an ending of a cycle, your changed and evolved and have gained wisdom. My mom called me up one day. She was like, oh my God, I just had the worst, two weeks, everything is so hard. Why do things have to be hard? In my answer to her was. We'll have you learned anything? She was like, actually I have. She told me what she's learned. We talked about how, when we're going through challenges and when we do evolve, it doesn't just come from the easy, it comes from challenge going inside of you. It comes from all the characters before the world card. When you meet all of those characters, when you meet the hermit and you need to take that time to go with, and, and then you go out and you see the moon and you're navigating the uncertainty, but you're trusting the universe. So I think when we get to the world and she's this beautiful lady and the weight Smith, I I'm very visual. So I have to just describe her for a minute. And the weight Smith, she's just this naked woman, which I love. Cause she's just kind of like, this is who I am. This is who I am. I've been on this journey. I faced my fears. I have had good moments. I have had sad moments. I have seen my strength and this is all of me and I'm celebrating. I really want to kind of nail down is this world card you're at an ending, but you're a different person. At this ending, something's wiser. Now, something has changed for you. Oh, yes. You've walked the track. You've experienced life, you are home. And now you're home with your desires. You are home with what is alive for you. With the world coming through, it's then encouraging and really asking you to be okay with yourself for a moment. look where you were at last year. Take a moment to appreciate how far you've grown and how far you've come in a single year. A couple years ago, I didn't have a car. I didn't have a home. I was literally backpacking traveling from one place to another, to another. And now I have my own home. I have my own car and, I flourish in a way that was never possible or even thought of. For me right now, especially because we're also on the world card, I really feel on top of the world and I'm excited to go back and play and be the fool and experience life. That's actually going to lead to my story. Cause I was thinking, I was like, what am I going to talk about? What was the moment when I had the world? When I turned 25. I call it the year of 25. I started off 25 with definitely tower energy. It was like, holy crap tower in my life. The tower that I had built was definitely falling down., I had thoughts of suicide. I was severely depressed. I was just not in a good place. It was interesting because I felt like I did go through that hero's journey. And I went through each card in that journey. Helpers came along the way. I had moments where I was the hermit that year, where I stayed in and I reflected, and then on my 26th birthday, I was like, okay, how am I going to celebrate this birthday? I made it a here. You know, I didn't even know if I was going to make it the next day. That's how, like bad of a place I was in. So I made it for the year and I was like, how am I going to celebrate. It was the best birthday ever. I stayed up till 12 o'clock at night. Cause that was when my birthday was going to turn. I bought myself a cannoli, lit a candle and at 12 o'clock I had a glass of wine and I made a wish and I was like, yes, I did it. And then the next day I went to a class and they were talking about the semi-colon project. If anyone in this room has heard about it, where, people were getting tattooed for summit call and it was going to bring mental health awareness. And I was like, oh my God, I need to go get that. So I left that class. I've never gotten a tattoo in my life. And I went straight to the tattoo parlor and I got the semi-colon tattooed on my arm. I share these stories because I think sometimes when we get to the world card and we get to that place of completion, I think we feel like, oh, we should be throwing a party. Absolutely throw a party. If you want to. I didn't throw a party for me, my completion making it through that year one, I was wiser. I saw how strong I was. I was in a way better place. You know, I've got my counseling, I was on medicine and I celebrated, because I think when we get to the world, we have to celebrate this. And I celebrated through my birthday having that canola with myself and a glass of wine at 12 o'clock at night. And I celebrated the next day by getting a tattoo. Do you feel like when you hit an accomplishment and when you get to a place where you're like, wow, have risen and I made it through this journey. Do you celebrate, and have you ever celebrated in a way that felt right for you with the world card? Hmm, well, you know, I've got plenty of birthday stories that are just absolutely amazing. So I, I definitely hear you with the, with the 25 and the birthday cannoli and Again, that'll be a story. We will have a podcast that we just talk about birthdays. Okay. Cause I got some crazy ones. But yeah, you know, it's, I feel like when you get to the world, it's a personal celebration. I mean, you can absolutely celebrate with your friends and it doesn't have to be a birthday. it's a special moment for you because no one else was on that journey with you, the helper showed up, but you do it on your own. You start with the fools saying, I'm going to do this. I really want this. And then you release it to the universe. So when you make it to the world, it's like that personal kind of celebration. Wow. And, it's interesting. Cause you say that cause I'm coming up on almost my year of sobriety. So I'm really thinking about that as an achievement. So like what might you do? What are you thinking? I don't know. I don't, I don't have an answer to that and that's okay because I'm not there yet, not there yet, but that's definitely a part of the whole dance that we're talking about within the universe. Is being present to that. Your word creates your world. What world are we wanting to create? Is your words, creating the world that you want to be a part of. I think our words can absolutely create our world and anyone. Who's a Harry Potter person out there, anyone who's a Harry Potter person in the audience Dumbledore did a quote about. How words are our biggest weapons. It can be used to heal, but it also can be used to destroy. And so use them carefully. So another part, if we're going to continue to talk about the world, I just want to mention when you get to the world and you look back. Cause I, I know we said it before that this world card is really about reflecting because you, you know, you made it, you accomplish it's natural to reflect. Now, this is what's really interesting. You started out as the fool on your journey, new beginnings, and you're like, I want this. Do you feel like your original idea of what you were going to get is the same as when you actually go through the journey and reach the world card? Or is it a different version of what you had intended? So that's a great question. For me, how I ended up being where I am. Last year, this time I was working a job, I didn't really care for it. But I know that I needed a different pace. Right. I was doing something completely different. I had just started to work construction and I hated it. I had never done it before. So that's why I was really hating it. It was honestly a really fun, fun job. But then, you know, I said, I need a place where I'm able to just be able to be quiet, be able to be with people. I got to be in a beautiful house that was right down the street from like half the jobs that I ended up working. The one things that were missing were my connection with community. I didn't have community. I didn't really call out for the community. But then when I did, I was actually Valentine's weekend. I ended up connecting with one of my internet groups. It's a floor, it's a group. And I got to, you know, flow are with them for Valentine's day. And then I was like, well, isn't this just depressing. I'm sitting in my room by myself, playing with flow arts with a whole bunch of people all across the world. So not really depressing. Yeah, absolutely. Also at the same time. Fast forward a little bit I really put out that I wanted to be with community. I think, got to come down to this beautiful, special place. And I've been here now since February, but when I first got here, I didn't have a place to live. I didn't even at that moment And through happenstances, I connected with somebody and they ended up giving me their tent because they're like, I don't need it. I've got a camper. I'm going back to go be in my camper. And so they gave me a tent. It was a 10 person tent. So for anybody who camps like that's actually, it was, it was big enough for like four queen size mattresses. She was sick. He was big. I was able to be in that. And then I got a job here. I was able to work and I just kept visualizing what was my next thing? What was my next thing? The next step for me was that I really wanted a place because it was supposed to be rainy season. I want to be nice and dry and be able to be comfortable in all weather. I've got a camper now kind of camper that somebody had just happened to end up needing to leave. They, he went back to go be with his family and he just wanted to sell it because he didn't want it anymore. And so I got, I got to get this and, you know, was there still steps that I had to take? He has, he had to build it up. You can't, you know, I mean, I could have left it just bare floors, but that wasn't going to happen. Not when that's the only thing that I've really learned how to do was lay tongue and groove flooring. But I got to learn how to do more stuff like repairing, pulling out all the flooring. The reason why I share that is because there was a point that I literally just called out the only intention that I had was I wanted a place where I'm able to feel comfortable in my own skin, in my own home. And now I have it I'm sure that there's been many times and everyone in the audience, you can look back at your life, but moments where, you know, you felt in a really dark place and you just said, Hey, I really need to change. Then it showed up for you. Perhaps it showed up through, a synchronicity of somebody random just like popping into your life. And you're like, oh my God, I needed that person. That's why they showed up. They were there because you called out for help. There's been other times where, you know, again, we say it's coincidence, but I don't, I don't do anything in coincidence. Everything's got incidents. God is in type of thing and we forget it often. Right. That's part of it too. If we remembered it all the time, man, we'd be so. Why isn't it happening fast enough? It's like planting a seed in your garden and then expecting it to bloom the next day. Come on, snap out of it. Absolutely. You know? No, no, no, you haven't been rambling. So something that I noticed when I get to this cycle and I'm starting off on a journey, I'm like, oh yeah, this is what it's going to be. This is what I'm going to manifest. And this is what it's going to be. Or this is what I want. I've noticed in those cycles, and I'm talking about the long haul journey to get to that world. When I ended up at the worst. I do reach completion. I reach accomplishment and I'm celebrating, but I'm not where I had originally thought I was going to be, or I didn't get there the way that I thought I was going to get there when I started my journey. I turned 25 and it was like tower energy. My world was falling apart. I actually, at that moment in my life, I was trying to bring in romantic, love, someone that I could girls with have a long life together, have a serious relationship. That was something that I hadn't had. That's where my intention was on that journey that year. It was so interesting because I would have thought that when I found, my husband and it was funny, he did come. So everyone listening, I had that birthday and my birthday's in July that 26. And then I found my husband in the November. So it was so weird, but that birthday was my world's card. You know, it was a year after 25, that July birthday was my world card. It wasn't finding him and November. My journey was thinking I needed to find someone else to love me but the universe is lesson for me because I do think we do surrender to the universe. The universe goes, Hey, like you think this is what you want, but we know. What you want and what you need and what's for your highest good. And on that birthday, it wasn't that I was on this journey. Find someone who would love me. It was, I got to a journey where I left myself, you know, and I know it sounds so like, like cheesy. Yes. So rock on. It was so wrong. Calm when the words are coming out of my mouth, I was like, wow, this is so wrong, calm, but that's actually what was needed. That was totally what was needed because I was never going to find love unless I left myself. So when you start off as the fool, you have to understand that you don't, you don't have the wisdom. You don't you think, you know what you want and the universe is hearing your wishes. The universe is completely hearing you out. Like, don't worry when you're talking to the universe. If you're talking in your head or whoever you believe in the moon, God, God, is there hearing you your guides, but then there's a surrendering piece and there's a growing piece. So when you're starting off at that full, at the beginning of the journey, you might think, you know what you want and what's for your highest good. But when you get to the world, it's interesting to look back and be like, wow, what I thought I needed. And what I thought I wanted is actually not what was for my highest good. And I actually in that journey, I needed love my self-love. I needed selfless. Absolutely. just to piggyback a little bit, it's like the universe is like, I'll tell you what you want, what you really, really want, because we'll think that we know everything. And that's why for me I try not to do big stuff in my manifestations, in my dream journaling, because if we get vague, we're in that fear state of like, oh my God, I'm never going to get what I really want. So why even bother? I think it was the last several years Abraham Hicks was really talking about how, if you want the sports car, you can say that you want the red sports car and it has all of the extra trimmings, the bells, the whistles, and actually affirm that, you know, that you're worried about. You can have that and all this stuff that go along with it, but you also have to believe in it. And if you're not, if you're not believing it, it's a matter of then cool, beautiful. Get to see yourself and reflect where do you feel like you're not worthy, from somebody who literally traveled with just a backpack and somehow survived, you know, like you really can have whatever you want in life, but you've gotta be the one to call out and go after it. You do. You absolutely do. Yeah. Because there's helpers along the way, in your story, a guy showed up with a 10, a guy needed like the camper, like I was giving away camper. There's absolutely help along the way and help physically in the physical world and definitely help in the spiritual world. There's totally behind the scenes ancestors who love you and your spirit guides everyone's helping, but they can only support, you have to do the work. you're the one on the journey. Yeah. Actually stepping up and saying, Hey, I need support. And how many of us like legitimately refuse to say yes, I need help sometimes. That's where the biggest work actually comes from is from saying, yeah, I need it. And I know that I'm worthy of it. That's the other part is like, I'm actually worthy of having the support that I need. Completely. So while you're talking, I have this quote. So anyone that's like out there one second, I'm trying to just get to this quote once wait a minute. I was like, so anybody who's out there I'm like, are you meaning us? Cause we're waiting. I told you guys I'm just so bad at multitasking on second. Like, are you going to keep calling that into your world? I just want to know. I know. Cause every time I say that you, you mentioned the words I know. Okay, great. I'm going to do it right now in the real time. I'm really great at multitasking. And I just, I just want to click this one button. That's not allowing me to click. Oh goodness. Okay. Okay. Well, okay. I can't, I can't at the moment click this button, but if I'm going to use good words, I will be able to click it again. It's something weird. Have I thought I okay. But anyways, what are you trying to do? Okay. What I was trying to do, there was a quote that I have on my website. If anyone wants to go to my website, this is a great advertising moment, wild and free healing.com. Click on resources, click the resources button. And there was a quote that this guy trolley, I won't even pull up his name. He wrote this beautiful book. Okay. I, it takes a village. Okay. What's the quote. What's the quote. Can you read that? The quote on this page to find resources? Charlie, usually worded it, asking for help. Isn't giving up, it's refusing to. Yeah, it was just on your whole part of support. And what's his name again? Can you say it out loud? Charles maxi. M a C K E S Y. He wrote the most beautiful book. It's kind of a kids adult book. It's like a picture book with words, anyone Google it. I have it in my bedside table. And whenever you need like a pick me up, you read it. It's gorgeous. I really liked that because asking for help is one of the strongest things you can do always ask for help and never do anything for yourself. But like when you realize, Hey, I'm stuck by something, that's what somebody else is there for. Yeah. One of the number one things is, guess what? Healers still need other healers and doctors need doctors. And that's the way the world works. I had a doctor I really quite liked him a lot and I think there is something you know, you're in this profession or you feel like, oh, like I should know everything. I should have all the answers. I'm a doctor, but you know, doctors can still get cancer. You know, mental health professionals still need counselors themselves for mental health stuff, because no one here is not human to be human. Unless we have the little dogs and all the animals, we're not talking about the animals or anything or aliens. We're not going there yet. But to just be human, we all just need help because it takes a village I think, to go through this life. When you were mentioning. How we don't always have to ask for support cause we can do things on our own. I think what's so important when we do ask for support, we're asking for guidance, we're asking for someone to cheer us on. We're asking for that encouragement. But at the end of the day, always, even when we ask for support, you are the one doing the work and you just need your cheerleaders and you need your guidance and you need a little person to lean on, but you're the one who's doing it. To further go along, it's like members, coaches need coaches, coaches and the coaches. You know, and it's just one of those things with me constantly catching up and witnessing the game with the words. Because that's my focus right now and you bring up all these other things that I'm like, I have no idea. I never thought about that. I'm like, okay, that makes sense. You know, thank you. And just working with it. And I love it. We all I'm. Even when I was a teacher, I was a teacher, everyone. At one point, I remember I was learning for my students. And sometimes when people come into my office because I'm a school adjustment, counselor and students are talking to me, we have moments where I'm learning in the conversation as well, because we're always learning. Everyone's got their cool talents too. Oh my God. And then once you master your thing, guess what you get to do. You start all over again, start all over and you're like, do I really have to, you know, it's funny. Okay. Wow. Okay. So this is just a nice way to leave off, but I have to ask you a question because talking about cycles in life, say we, have past lives and we do life over again. We come back here on earth and we can try it out all over again. Maybe as a different person, you know, maybe as like, you know, I probably won't be Nicole anymore. I'll probably be someone else. Ruth, would you want to start life all over again? Would you sign up to go do that? Cause sometimes I don't know. The earth school is pretty tough. I think I would need a big vacation. That's actually the thing this is going to go ahead and pull. Everybody's bringing out we're really far, right. We're going to go for it. Okay. So here's, there's three stories right here. And the, the main one that I really like, it talks about the Andy Weir the egg by Andy Weir. And in that story, it talks about this person who passed away and he gets into a conversation with God in that conversation with God, it's then found out that he's gonna gear up to go back and to go live another life because there's still more lessons to be learned. Then he asked God, well, what if I run into myself? He's like, of course, you're going to run into yourself. You're going to run into yourself. Every single person that you meet, because there is nothing but that one infinite source. As the experience of the person that you are right now, you are developing yourself to step fully into the head of God. So that's one part of the fun rabbit hole. And then here's another part that goes into the multidimensional theory or multi-dimensional conversation, which the earth school is the roughest, because it is the most dense. It is this. I mean, you, you look at the way that the stars are literally aligned in our own galaxy, the sheer happenstance of everything being so quote, mathematically precise, it has to be here. You cannot try and create the illusion that there wasn't some grand design about this. If it was a couple of miles away, we wouldn't have the same. Tide pools or we wouldn't be able to even survive because we're at a perfect spot distance away from the sun that we're not literally baking, but we were close enough that we still get enough heat that we can, you know, survive here, like mathematically for gravity. Right. Yes. One more thing it's we chose this, we chose to be here and because we chose to be here, there's this thing about going all out in, what is it that you're wanting to create? Yeah. I have a, I have a new class coming up that I'm really excited to be sharing that literally talks about procrastination and your desire and teaser. If you're procrastinating, It actually is a direct reference of where you not excited about life, where are you holding yourself back or just not going after it? Like aren't you excited about? Yeah. And how to get excited again, you know, desire. They say like magic is desire made real. Oh my God. I love that magic is desire made real. I could go down more rabbit holes, but it's interesting. I always love reflecting when we do a card. When we do a card, I always look back in the conversation and I can feel the energy of the card. I really feel the world card, you and I have talked a lot about our place in the world, we've reflected on the journey. That is the energy of this world card. It's a lot of reflecting purpose and celebration and it's really great. You've got to really explore the rabbit hole. That is the world that we all came through.
